Build an Online Store and They Will Come - Not

Dr Ken Evoy, an e-commerce expert, points out that in the offline world a store will thrive if it's located in a high traffic area.

However, in the online world every store starts in the exact same location. It's up to the business owner to drive traffic to an online store.

Amazon.com and eBay.com are two of the largest online stores on the internet. Two of their highest traffic sources are from affiliates and search engine rankings.

Hundreds of thousands of website owners have signed up for amazon and eBay's affiliate programs. Affiliates receive a uniquely coded affiliate link which they post on their website. A site visitor clicks on the link, visits amazon or eBay and if she makes a purchase the affiliate earns a commission.

This whole process requires powerful affiliate management software that can manage thousands of affiliates.

Dr Evoy, who manages one of the fastest growing affiliate programs on the internet, reviews a number of affiliate management software programs in his comprehensive internet marketing manual Make Your Site Sell ($29-95). Evoy sold a million dollars worth of expensive penny stock software which was the inspiration for Make Your Site Sell.

Amazon and eBay's other high source of traffic comes from search engine rankings. If you type in the title of your favorite book at Google.com, I'm willing to bet that one of the top ten results will be from amazon.com.

Dr Evoy's approach to search engine optimization is to give the search engines exactly what they want - relevant, useful and high value content. Make Your Content Presell explains the entire process. Evoy has a number of case studies at his website that describe how his clients have built successful internet businesses.

Natures Sunshine MLM Home Business Review

Nature's Sunshine Products Inc. is a wellness based company with its world headquarters located in Provo, Utah. NS offers individuals a home based business opportunity by selling or marketing their products through MLM or multilevel marketing.

The Natures Sunshine product line is made up of multiple different types of products. They include aromatherapy, cookware, health, fitness, wellness, homeopathics, and nutritional supplements. They also have oral hygiene, personal care, skincare, water treatment systems, and weight management products available. Some testimonials that have been given by individuals that have consumed some of the Natures Sunshine products include statements of relief from headaches, arthritis, and some other inflammation based symptoms.

The Natures Sunshine business opportunity contains a unilevel multilevel marketing compensation plan. The comp plan is pretty straight forward and is pretty easily understood. There are no limitations to the amount of people that one can sponsor and place on their front line and it pays a total of 5 levels deep. The plan also includes several bonuses and incentives including annual trips to destinations around the world. The only downfall with the unilevel plan is the sponsoring qualifications that must be met in order to reach higher levels in the compensation plan.

In conclusion, Natures Sunshine seems to have a decent product line and the compensation plan would rate out as a fair in the network marketing industry. If you don't mind having to get an average of 100-200 people on your team to make a $1000 residual check each month (which is pretty true with any MLM opportunity), then the Natures Sunshine business might be a great fit for you.

Jaguar Marketing System Review

The Jaguar Marketing System is a fairly new company in the home business arena. Previously called Predator Marketing, which officially launched in September of 2006, Jaguar Marketing is a new facelift for Predator that offers a home business opportunity by selling or marketing their products through the direct selling industry.

The Jaguar product line is made up of two training courses, two replicated websites, and a course on how to buy real estate for income. The Jaguar Marketing opportunity consists of marketing these programs for $3995. There is an option to purchase the gold program for $1499. This option doesn't include the real estate income course.

The business opportunity contains a 1-Up compensation plan with a payout of $3000 for every sale made by the qualified affiliate. The issue with the Jaguar Marketing System's compensation plan is the requirement of one training sale (hence 1-Up). To get started, a new person must pay $3995 to become a Platinum business associate and then give up $3000 from their first qualifying sale to their qualified sponsor. This means they must give up almost $3000 before they can earn any wealth from the program. Another issue with the Jaguar System's 1-Up program is that if you bring in someone who makes a sale or two per day, you only get their first sale and then you no longer get paid on their efforts. They then breakaway from the sponsor and actually end up becoming the competition. This doesn't give the qualified Jaguar sponsoring associate much motivation to help the new associate since they will ultimately become competition.

In conclusion, Jaguar, formerly Predator Marketing System seems to have a decent product line, but the comp plan leaves more to be desired. Some people do well with 1-Up programs, but most struggle. If you are an experienced internet marketer and don't mind having to pass up your first qualifying sale, then the Jaguar Marketing System might be the right fit for you.
